Discover Mazi Wines

When your entire production is Australia Rosé, you want the quality to be the very best, and it is.

Mazi means ‘Together’ in Greek.  Toby Porter and Alex Katsaros are lifelong friends and always talked about making wine together.  Alex has spent over a decade working with alternative varieties in Australia and abroad, Toby has been a winemaker at internationally acclaimed d’Arenberg for over 15 years.  In 2016 the dream of making wine together came to fruition, with the release of their first Rosé under the Mazi label.

The cornerstone of Mazi is their incredible value single vineyard Grenache Rose from Blewitt Springs in McLaren Vale.  It is styled on the famous, dry rosé wines of Europe.

The pinnacle of production at Mazi is the extremely limited and aspirational barrel fermented hand picked Rosé made from Mourvedre and Grenache.  It is delicious, easy to drink and dials in a little quiet complexity.

Their latest addition is the Mavrodaphne Rosé which is a native Greek variety and recently planted on a small plot in the heart of McLaren Vale. This Rosé is ideal for fresh seafood and other fine delicacies and cheeses.

The Mataro Cinsault Grenache Rosé is another 2021 debutant.  It has a lovely floral scent as well as musk and Turkish delight.  The palate is full yet balanced.
