About this wine

Experience the exuberant world of The Mob Montepulciano from Koonunga, where each sip is a celebration! This top Montepulciano of Show recipient at the Melbourne International Wine Challenge flaunts a rich, deep purple hue and a quirky fusion of candied dark fruits, cracked pepper, and mocha on the nose. The palate is greeted with a juicy medley of blackberries, lively raspberries, and juicy blueberries, all enrobed in smooth, savory tannins. Pair it with a succulent rack of lamb or a hearty mushroom risotto. With only 150 cases produced, this bespoke delight is a must-try!

    Producer: Atze's Corner

Atze’s Corner vigneron Andy Kalleske is the sixth successive generation of his family to be involved in grape growing and winemaking in Australia’s iconic Barossa Valley.

With that experience comes the knowledge of where the best grapes grow and how to nurture the fragile old vines to give of their best. The cornerstone of this artisan winery lies in several amazing vineyards which are tended by Andy’s parents Barb and John Kalleske. Shiraz vines planted in 1912 and 1951 adjacent to the winery, a stone’s throw east of Nuriootpa on the Barossa’s valley floor and close by to Ebenezer, a sub-region of the Barossa renowned for its Shiraz wines.
